Learning & Development

At DENTISTICO we understand it is our people that make us the business we are. Your training starts from day one with a detailed induction to the company, this is followed by a structured on the job training programme.

Our teams have the opportunity to attend a number of classroom sessions carried out in our training centres. You'll also receive regular training on any new procedures and initiatives as well as new products.

In an industry where change happens at lightning speed, we shape our learning and development programmes to ensure we stay right at the cutting edge. Dentists participate in this group Professional Liability Program. Coverage is managed by DENTISTICO and provided at nominal cost to Dentists. Each Dentist has his/her own individually written plan.

We recognize our responsibility both in creating Earth-friendly, sustainable operations and in setting an example for similar organizations and practices everywhere.

Practice Support Center
Our Practice Support Center was built using sound environmental practices and meets Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification.

DENTISTICO Centres
Our eco-friendly approach to construction is a model for our expanding network of practices and offices everywhere. Our offices feature:

• Low-wattage, overhead lighting
• Dry vacuum systems for suction equipment (rather than traditional wet-ring vacuum systems that use as much as 800 gallons of water a day)
• Cleaner, oil-less air compressors to operate dental instruments
• On the technical side, our offices are using digital radiography, amalgam separators, and LED lighting.
• Implementing electronic medical records not only cut down on paper use, but also presents a more efficient way to manage patient care.
  

Philanthropy -CSR

DENTISTICO is committed to bringing smiles to the communities we serve. Our “Smile for Good” initiative encompasses a wide range of activities, including partnerships, corporate donations, network-wide events, in-office donations and service in local communities.

Our proudest moments:

Indian Red Cross
Following the devastating floods in Tamil Nadu in December 2010, DENTISTICO launched An Hour for Tamil Nadu, a voluntary program that gave DENTISTICO team members the ability of donating the equivalent of one hour’s pay to the Indian Red Cross for Tamil Nadu relief. The initiative resulted in donations of more than Rs.5 Lac.

Oral Health India (OHI)
DENTISTICO group teamed up with Oral Health India on a new campaign targeting adults and seniors, Smile for Life: Bridging the Gap between Oral and Overall Health, launched in September 2011. Previous OHI partnerships included the National Tobacco Education Program (NTEP) which targets the education of young athletes on the dangers of tobacco use.

Red Rose-Scholarship Connection
DENTISTICO provided the Red Rose-SC, a nationally-recognized children development program, with a four-year, Rs.50, 000 grants to support its efforts. Dentists and Hygienists from DENTISTICO provide free dental services to high school students.

Creating Holiday Smiles
Each holiday season, DENTISTICO gives back to their local communities through the company’s “Creating Holiday Smiles” initiative. DENTISTICO team members work in conjunction with a number of community service organizations.

Earth Day
Each year DENTISTICO participate in clean-up efforts nationwide. Members of Dentistico’s “Smile Squad” remove litter from parks and other public areas in locations around Dentistico Centres.
